How the Tarot Can Advise: Case Study

As well as making predictions the tarot can also advise us what is out best move and what will happen if we do nothing.

In this article, I shall use a case study of a reading I performed and how the cards gave good advice.

This case study is only a synopsis and names and details have been changed to protect the client's identity.

We all get those moments; when we cannot really decide on what our next move is or should be. Sometimes, we have too few choices and sometimes, we have too many.

Both of these scenarios can make it difficult to move forwards because aren't sure which choice is best.

A reading I did for a wonderful lady last month (Feb 20226) was in such a quandry. She had helped her husband grow his computer company which was doing well. She wanted for nothing.

In fact, she was doing very well financially. (9 pentacles). However she felt like she wanted to do something of her own accord and earn her own income. She didn't fully feel that the success was hers.

However, she did not know what she wanted to do. It was keeping her up at night with worry (9 Swords).

Further back in her past she had studied for something and was qualified in it (3 Pentacles). She was now feeling that she had gone as far as she had wanted with her hiusband's business and in helping to shape into a success (The World) but it was now time for a new adventure.

But in what?

She was to be careful however, not to take on too much work (10 Wands) as it would become a burden and affect her health issue that was a recurring illness (something I felt kept coming and going) and although not life threatening, it was still debilitating (4 Swords).

With the 7 of Cups present in her reading, I was compelled to tell her that she must add more choice to what she was already considering and it would then be revealed (7 Cups again; the hidden object) to her.

This wonderful woman was also the type that likes to 'win' (6 Wands), but this wasn't about winning, it was about finding something to do in her career that she would enjoy, make money, but be mindful of her health.

I said to her that her answer would come from a younger person who had an entrepreneurial spirit and that he or she would be an asset to her and give her the way forward.

As an example, I asked if there was something she had done in her past that she could upskill so that she could have an online shop and sell overseas (3 Wands). I asked her to view this decision with even more of an open mind than she already had.

I also suggsted that out of the list she had made of what she thought she could do (7 Cups) I advised to first of all add even more choices to the list and then firstly cross off everything she would definitely NOT do!

Single 'Figures'

I put the same picture here for you to look at again. Can you see a pattern in the cards? Something that stands out to you?

All the people in the spread are single figures except for the 3 Pentacles, which is in her further past than the World card.

This told me that she wasn't seeking enough support but help was available and it would probably come form the younger person.

Finally, I said that if she carried on as she was doing so now and doesn't heed the advise in the cards, then she would have to wait until next December early January until she got her answer (as to what she could do in life).

However, if she did heed the advice contained in her tarot reading, she would be in a different place entirely, come mid-June.

I told her she was the type of person that would indeed take the advice that the tarot had cards given her.

She confirmed this for me.
